Thursday & Friday Combo

                                                   

🎵 Welcome to my Thursday/Friday Combo Blog 🎵


Last week I noticed there weren't many people checking the Blog on Thursday and Friday, so for this week and next week I'll be doing a Combo Blog - all your work jobs for those 2 days will be on Thursday, but you have both days to get them done. I know it's getting to the end of the school year, so I'll try to not make your jobs too tough or boring! 😊

 MATH - continue in your notebook with the practice pages below. I've given you one for each day. 

                Math for Thursday, June 11th
                         ***Remember:

1)  when you write days or dates, you need to start each month name and weekday with a capital.
ExampleTuesday, October 9th
                                                   

Answers:
 1. there are more with 31 days
2. April 7th
3. Tuesday
4. May 12th
5. No - it does not have 29 days, only 28
In a leap year, February has an extra day (every fourth year)

***Remember:

 when you write answers about money you need to line up your numbers before you add or subtract AND use a $ sign

Writing and Word Work: 

#1) Finish your Plurals sentences (using all 20 words) and send them to me to read.

#2) Your Word Work for our Tuesday Zoom next week is ANTONYMS ( opposites). I would like you to make a list of 20 antonyms and bring it to our Zoom so we can make a giant list of them. 
Examples:  tall - short   
                   over - under

#3) If you finish both of these things before Friday, please choose a book to read ( or have finished recently) and do a Book Report on it. Here is a sample of what to include:

READING
Reading this week will continue to be 20+ minutes each day, out loud to your adult and as much READ to SELF time as you like!  Epic Books site, Scholastic Learn at HomeRaz-Kids and reading books from home are all great.

Choose GOOD FIT books and work on reading smoothly and with expression!
