Make it a Marvelous Monday!

Welcome Back my friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Don't forget... our ZOOM schedule has changed ( see last Friday's Blog post for the new times), so I will be hosting a chat this morning from 10:00-10:45 and would love to see you all there! The link is at the end of the Blog.

Starting this week I need to be teaching on Thursdays and Fridays, but I will still be posting in my Blog EVERY DAY so please continue to check each day.   👍😊

WRITING for the WEEK

This week we'll be writing a letter to Mr.Lloyd.
Your parents may have let you know that he will be moving to a new school in September and I thought it would be a nice idea if each of us wrote him a letter or special note to put together in a little book.

In your letter you can tell him why you will miss him, why you think he is a great principal and what special memories you might have of him at Beattie.

In your notebook, your Monday job is to make a list of 5-10 words that you think describe Mr. Lloyd.

When you have finished your list of words, try to think of one or two memories you have of Mr. Lloyd at school.
Put down your memories in your notebook under your list. We will use these tomorrow for your Tuesday writing. 🖉🖉🖉

MATH for the WEEK

Hopefully everyone has had a chance to finish the practice pages for Multiplication in your duotang.
This week we will be doing some beginning work for Division.
I did not include pages for this in your duotang, but each day this week I will put some practice questions on the Blog post. Please complete these in your notebook.

DIVISION means to share EQUALLY.
One group cannot have more than another.

You will need 20 counters of some kind ( examples: Cheerios, Q Tips, raisins, small pebbles )

For each number below, can you share 20 equally, with none left over?
*If your answer is NO, you don't need to tell how many  each.
