Feeling Grateful Friday

         It's a Great Day to be Grateful!                                                               💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Good morning my friends! 💜💙💚
It's a beautiful day out there and I hope you all have plans to do something fun and active outside. You'll want to make sure you don't have SCHOOL WORK to do when you'd rather be playing so if you need to finish your 5 sentences about things you're grateful for, be sure to do them this morning so you'll be free later. 🌞🏀🏃

Remember... when you write your sentences, start each with a capital, end with a period or ! and print neatly.

When you have finished your 5 ( or more ) sentences, please send me your typed work or a picture of printed work by email ( lbymoen@sd73.bc.ca ) just like you sent your letter to me last week.  😊😊😊 Please try to send your work by this evening  or let me know if you need a bit longer.

MATH -  Yesterday on our Zoom we brainstormed a big list of some things we use money for :
* food                                   * travel
* clothes                              * vehicle (car/truck/bike)
* a place to live                   * do fun things
* cell phone                         * donate to charity
* medicine                           * books
* pay bills                            * have pets
* toys                                   * computer

In your Math duotang, please work on the Money practice pages and plan to finish by next Friday. You can also do extra practice on Prodigy or counting with real coins (ask an adult if there are some coins to use for this and maybe they can help you a bit). Below is a little video song reviewing the names and values of the coins.

                   **WEEKEND WORD WORK **

It's the weekend again and I'm sending out another Word Hunt challenge. We'll check in at our Tuesday Zoom and see what you were able to collect. Your words this week are CONTRACTIONS - words that have an apostrophe in place of letters that are taken out.

Here are 5 examples of contractions. Please find at least 10 more contractions and make a list in your notebook.  Print the contraction and then the two words that it is made from.

 1.  isn't   - is not
 2. couldn't - could not
 3.  I'm - I am
 4. he'll - he will
 5.  she's - she is
